Job Description

A telecaller is responsible for initiating phone calls to potential or existing customers to promote products, services, or generate leads. They act as the voice of the company, bridging the gap between the business and its clients, often working in sales, marketing, or customer service departments. 



 



Key Responsibilities




  • Outbound Calling: Making cold or warm calls to prospects to introduce products or services.

  • Inbound Call Handling: Responding to inquiries from customers and resolving complaints.

  • Lead Generation: Identifying potential customers and qualifying leads for the sales team.

  • Sales Conversion: Persuading customers to purchase, subscribe, or book appointments.

  • Data Maintenance: Updating the CRM system or database with accurate customer information and call logs.

  • Following Scripts: Utilizing predefined scripts to ensure consistent and accurate communication.

  • Target Achievement: Meeting daily, weekly, or monthly calling and sales quotas. 

     





Required Skills & Qualifications




  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication and listening skills in English and local languages.

  • Persuasion: Ability to handle objections and convince customers.

  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of computers, MS Office, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho).

  • Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and work under pressure.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is usually sufficient, with, with, with.

  • Experience: Prior experience in telemarketing, telesales, or customer service is often preferred, but not always required.
